【Cacelled】Cinema Kabuki will be screened in Bangkok!
Due to the spread of coronavirus in Bangkok city in the past few days, today's screening of Cinema Kabuki has been cancelled by the organizer.
Schedules for future screenings will be announced on the website below, as soon as it is decided.

'Renjishi' and 'Rakuda' will be screened at Bangkok's Icon Cineconic on December 23rd (Wed) with English and Thai subtitles.
This will be the very first time for Cinema Kabuki to be screened in Thailand, so please come with your friends and enjoy this opportunity to encounter Japanese culture!
'Renjishi' ('The Triple Lion Dance') was filmed by the great Japanese film director, Yamada Yōji. The Father Lion is performed by Nakamura Kanzaburō, who accompanies his real-life sons Kankurō and Shichinosuke as the Lion Cubs.
'Rakuda' is a popular dramatization of a rakugo comic story. When they performed this work, Nakamura Kanzaburō and Bandō Mitsugorō filled Tokyo's Kabukiza Theatre with laughter.

With gorgeous costumes, stunning makeup, and powerful dramas, kabuki has been appreciated as the ultimate theatrical art form in Japan which has excited and impressed its people for centuries.
It has had tremendous influence on a wide range of entertainments including theater and movies worldwide.
Live productions, featuring some of today's greatest kabuki stars, are now being filmed with the highest resolution cameras for screening in cinemas around the world on state-of-the-art digital projection systems with six-channel surround sound.
