The ‘meme nippon project’ produced by Nakamura Shidō will be held at the Yakushiji Temple in Nara with worldwide live streaming

The 'meme nippon project' produced by Nakamura Shidō will be held at the Yakushiji Temple in Nara with worldwide live streaming on July 17th.
The 'meme nippon project' is a new art form combining prayer, the Japanese traditional performing arts and digital technology. In such difficult times, when contagious disease and natural disasters continue, the project was launched to remind us of the traditional Japanese spirit in praying for peace and calm.

The first chapter of this project will be held at the Yakushiji Temple in Nara (a World Heritage Site) where prayers have continued every single day for the last 1300 years. After the Monk's statement, projection mapping will be projected on the Yakushiji Auditorium. Amidst this beautiful scenery, the new kabuki dance drama 'Rurikō' will be performed by Nakamura Shidō who plays the main role as a lion in order to get back the peace with the power of the Healing Buddha in the Yakushiji Temple.

The performance on July 17th will be streamed live. Please don't miss it!
