Kabukiza Theatre (at TOKYO) Theatre Information

In the Matinee, you can enjoy a masterpiece by Chikamatsu Monzaemon portraying the solitude and tragic fate of a man exiled to a remote island, a kabuki dance about the vendetta of the Soga brothers, as well as a comedy depicting commoners who try to clear themselves of a false charge.
In the Evening Show, you will see the adaptation of a tragic love story, Izumi Kyōka's most famous novel, which has also been performed by the Shinpa theatre troupe, as well as a kabuki dance adapted from a love story set during the Heian period, which expresses the aesthetic beauty of that world.
