Guide to KabukiWatch from Japan
*MIRAIL, which is currently used as a distribution platform for Kabuki On Demand, will terminate its platform service at the end of September 2025.
From July until the end of September, both the new platform and MIRAIL will be available, with purchases on MIRAIL possible until the end of August.

How to watch
1.Prepare to watch
Start up your computer and open the recommended internet browser. Choose the performance to watch from the videos above, or on the “KABUKI ON DEMAND” website and access to the videos you wish to watch.
2. Play the test movie
Try playing the test movie to make sure you are in the correct environment to watch the performance smoothly. If you have no trouble playing the test video, your computer is ready to stream the kabuki performances.
3. Rent and sign up
Click the “Rental High Resolution” button to rent. If you haven’t registered on MIRAIL yet, access to the sign up page, and register or sign up with external services. If you already have an ID, move on to the login page.
Check the content’s information and if you agree to rent, enter your credit card number, credit card expiration date and move on to the next page and purchase. (For purchases from Japan, PayPay may also be used.)
4. Enjoy the performance from the library!
If the purchase completion page is correctly shown, you are now ready to watch the performance! Move on to the library page to view the performance. Click the content you wish to watch, and after clicking the play button, the performance will start on your computer.
From Japan, you can also enjoy Kabuki On Demand from other devices (smartphones and tablets/ TV). Check below for details.
